I am hoping that my readers can provide some insight to some of these fashion mysteries...
1.) Why must a woman make a pouty face when applying makeup? Not just lipstick either.
2.) Why "go ugly" all day then apply makeup on the train, just in time to see your husband?
3.) Why do "large" women wear belly shirts and/or spandex pants?
4.) Or for that matter, why do "skinny" women wear baggy clothes.
4.) Why do people continue to "chunk" (color in stripes) their hair?
They just escape me!

Spandex is a privilege not a right.
Some people just lack class!

Strangely enough, I'm actually going to try to answer these questions with the "real" answer.
1.) Why must a woman make a pouty face when applying makeup? Not just lipstick either.
It pulls the facial skin tight and makes it easier to glide makeup on. Otherwise it would get caught in creases and bumps. This eventually happens ... but there is a nice difference between "eventually" and "right from the get-go".
2.) Why "go ugly" all day then apply makeup on the train, just in time to see your husband?
If married, then who else are you trying to impress? Face it, makeup is a chore and you only do it when you are hoping to get some.
3.) Why do "large" women wear belly shirts and/or spandex pants?
The elastic helps them hold in their girth, as far as the pants go. And it helps to reduce the feeling of freeflowing weight. As for the bellyshirts, you've got me.
4.) Or for that matter, why do "skinny" women wear baggy clothes.
One word: frump. I do it to vegitate. Or to tell my boyfriend that I am not in the mood. But also, tight clothes are hot, itchy, and they pull in strange places. They just aren't always practically comfortable.
4.) Why do people continue to "chunk" (color in stripes) their hair?
Because they continue to sell kits to do it.
